Ashot Manukyan
Was born in Yerevan, Armenia
Graduated the faculty of graphic-drawing of the Pedagogical Institute of Yerevan in 1978.
In 1980 Ashot made the graphic project of the exhibition “Design of Armenia” held in Moscow.
Since 1989 he is a member of “Union of Designers” of USSR and member of “Union of Armenian Artists”.
In 1993 his cooperative project with H. Aslanyan won the first prize in a competition declared by Ministry of Finance of Armenia for the art design of Armenian national banknotes.
In a result in 1993 the banknotes of the first range with nominal cost of 10, 25, 50,100,200, 500 and 1000 were put into circulation.
In 1996 Ashot's works won the first 3 prize places in a competition declared by the Central Bank of Armenia for a new second range of Armenian banknotes .
In 1998 the banknotes with a cost of 50, 100, 500,1000,5000,10.000 and 20.000 projected by Ashot Manukyan were put into circulation.
In 2005 by the order of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia 13 medals were projected and made by Ashot Manukyan and R. Hakobyan to endue titles to the National and Honored members in the sphere of Armenian Art, Sciences and Sport.
For these works Ashot Manukyan was awarded to a Gold medal of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia.
